Redcliff MP Lloyd Mukapiko was last week involved in an accident.
Mukapiko who did not sustain any injuries after the accident said he is still shaken from the event.
The accident happened at Redcliff turnoff after Mukapiko who was trying to give way to oncoming traffic.
He indicated that he was then hit from behind by a haulage truck.
“I was involved in an accident last week at Redcliff turnoff when i was trying to give way to an incoming vehicle. I was hit from behind by a haulage truck,”Mukapiko said.
He indicated that though he escaped unscathed he was left shaken by the accident.
“I thank God it was not a fatal accident otherwise it would have been a different story. The haulage truck had poor lighting, the driver did not have an identification documents including a drivers licence,” he said.
An unlikely candidate in the 2018 polls Mukapiko then a grave yard assistant with Redcliff Municipality rose to prominence after defeating his boss, the Local Government Minister July Moyo in the national polls to win a ticket to represent Redcliff in the National Assembly.
