Munyati Hotspears seek sponsorship


Munyati Hotspears FC which is on a rebuilding exercise is looking for sponsorship to re launch in ZIFA Central Region 2.

 Hotspears which won a ticket into the Zimbabwe Football Association (Zifa) Central Region Division 1 in 2016 was disbanded following lack of sponsorship.

The team does not have a sponsor and have extended their plea to the corporate world and individuals willing to offer sponsorship.

Currently the brains agitating for the team’s come back are Arnold Dzimbiri, Mike Matare and Taurai Karidza.

Speaking to the publication, Mike Matare said the team is just training and hoping that one day, a hand of hope will touch them so that they realise their dream of nurturing talent as they have done in the past.

“The Munyati Hotspears have produced notable players like Takunda Mawarire who player for FC Platinum U19, Petros Jukulile and Sternwork Mudzongachiso.

“The team performed well 2 seasons back because they managed to produce better players than other Division 2 clubs,” said Matare.

In the last 2 years the team won the promotion under the guidance of Karidza who was assisted by Juston Kurekwechuma.

The former Chibs gaffer said the three coaches will be in charge if the team if it manages to be registered into the Division 2 league.

“l attended the coaching course in Harare last month and it high time l give the knowledge that he gained from Nelson Matongorere who was the revered continental instructor of Zifa,” he said.
