A man who is allegedly part of a gang that butchered a Zhombe gold panner in full glare of the public has been further remanded into custody when he appeared before the courts this week.
Jefta Matambo (43) who is facing murder charges was remanded in custody to the 29th of October this year. He was advised to apply for bail at the High Court by Kwekwe Magistrate Story Rushambwa.
Matambo and six other accomplices butchered Clement Moyo to death in the intercity terminus following an argument with the marauding bloodthirsty artisanal miners.
The court heard that Matambo and the now deceased had an argument in the toilet which did not go well with the accused which prompted him and his gang to attack Moyo.
