Miss Kwekwe Hilda Mapuranga has now set her eyes on the Miss Zimbabwe title set for early next year.
After coming out tops in almost every competition she constested in Kwekwe and Midlands as a whole she has established herself as a force to reckon in the modelling circles.
Her journey to stardom started way back in 2015 at Manunure high school where she came first princess and from there she has groomed perfectly into becoming one of the top models in the city.
She has went on to win strings of accolades in her 5 years in the modelling industry, from Miss Legacy SA in 2017,she bagged Miss Kwekwe Carnival first princess 2018,Miss Richville 2019,Miss liberation Kadoma 2019,Miss Kwekwe 2019 and her latest achievent Miss Valentine’s Kwekwe 2020.
Mapuranga told The Observer Style that only the sky is the limit.
” Surely it’s time I rub shoulders with the country’s finest .Yes the challenge in Kwekwe is quite tough but I think I have proved a strong point in my 5 years in the game .I have contested in almost every competition in Midlands and it’s only once I missed out on the podium,I know I’m ready for Miss Zimbabwe .The auditions are here next month and surely I’m going there to make a statement .My journey has been tough ,there’s been trials and tribulations but I made it all the way up to now.My parents ,my younger sister who is also a model and my coach Brena Mimie Mhlaba have been with me all the way,I owe them my success.”
Surely the 21 year still in her prime is a star in the making and has bigger dreams.
