FC Platinum reassigns Sweswe

 Premier Soccer League (PSL) champions FC Platinum has reassigned the team’s new winning coach Lizwe Sweswe to a new position.FC Platinum spokesperson Chido Chizondo in an interview said contrary to media reports which had indicated that Sweswe had left the club, the tactician is still with the club-albeit in a different role. Swiswe was made assistant coach after the club hired Pieter De Jongh. However, it has been gathered that the relationship of the two was frosty as De Jongh is said to have not been comfortable working with Sweswe. According to media reports Sweswe was frustrated with the executive after it has been gathered that De Jongh wanted hik replaced by his preferred candidate Mandla Mpofu who was his assistant at Highlanders. De Jongh is also believed to have also roped in Tembo Chuma who was his goalkeepers coach at Bosso. “Coach Sweswe is still part of FC Platinum, what has been written and what is happening is not part of the situation on the ground,” she said. She explained that Sweswe was still part of the club’s plans. “Each club has its own strategies and aspirations based on those strategies, Mr Sweswe has been reassigned so that we focus more on the junior development side,” she said. The spokesperson however, could not be drawn to disclose the new role. “We will advise of the changes. As indicated there will be a lot of structural changes to FC Platinum coming into the next season.”
