Iron ore fight lands duo in court

A fight over iron ore have left two men Micah Mudhenda (20) Alter Mhere 19 to be arraigned before Kwekwe Magistrate Florence Nago facing assault charges.

Mudhenda and Mhere pleaded guilty to the charges claiming they went to Takesure Ngwenya’s place and attacked him using bare hands ,fists and a rod.

“Your Worship we admit to hitting him because he stole our ore so we wanted to teach him a lesson so that he will not steal from us in future,” said Mudhenda.

Ngwenya sustained injuries and was rushed to Kwekwe hospital where a medical examination was produced as evidence before the courts.

They were asked to pay a fine of $1000 or 2 months imprisonment to be paid before 30 September 2020 and were warned by the magistrate on doing any activities to do with violence in the next 5 years
