Armed robbery accused dragged before court

A man standing accused of armed robbery was this week arraigned before Kwekwe Magistrate Florence Nago facing 4 counts of armed robbery and theft.

Tichaona Musapati  (23) has pleaded guilty to 3 counts out of 4 of the armed robbery and theft where he would steal and attack his victims using a machete.

It is the State’s Case that Musapati on 13 February 2020 broke into Eddy Tafirei home in Redcliff and stole electrical gadgets that included a subwoofer,LG 32inch television that valued USD $450.

The unrepentant Musapati then went on to attack Timothy Gombera  on 9 March 2020 using a machete all over his body and stole a laptop , cellphone and a pair of sneakers.

His luck ran out when he entered into Nyaradzo Mavhurei homestead where he stole a 12,2kg gas tank and a decoder ,he was caught in action and the matter was reported to the police which led to his arrest and recovery of some of the goods.

The matter was postponed to 22 September since the state represented by  wanted to confirm the value of goods still missing and those recovered.
