Kwekwe residents have been horror struck after cadavers from suspected murders have been picked from the streets.
Authorities who spoke to this publication indicateed that they are concerned with the spike of murder cases.
Recently Denzel Hlambe (19) from Mbizo 1 was found dead with multiple stab wounds near Mbizo Youth Centre by members of the community in early hours of Friday.
Though Midlands Provincial Spokesperson Joel Goko said he is yet to get reports on the murders, police sources said they discovered the body of Hlambe with multiple stab wounds.
“The body was indicating that the teenager was stabbed several times on his stomach by a group of unknown gangs before breathing his last,” a source said.
Sources indicated that the body is still at Kwekwe General Hospital awaiting postmortem.
“The family of Denzel Hlambe have not yet buried their relative as they are waiting for the results of post mortem which are being taken on the body of their child at Kwekwe General hospital,” the source said.
In another incident Kwekwe police who were driving to Amaveni picked a dead body near Arimanyongo Beerhall.
The deceased has been identified as Jona Chibaya (22) of Village Mahofa under Chief Ntabeni in Zhombe.
“I noticed a dead body when l was driving to work the body had several stabs on the back , which means he was murdered during the night,” a police source said.
