True Bread of Light Ministries Church founder Mike Tsikira has revealed that he is planning to dramatise his 1974 Radio Post Magazine award winning story.
In an interview, Tsikira said he wants to put the story titled Kufa Kurinani into a film so as to bring it back to life.
“I want to turn my story into a drama. I won the first award for the story country wide in 1974 on Radio Post Magazine. I want to bring it back to life and to show my writing to society,” said Tsikira.
The man who said he started writing in 1972 when he was 18 said his story which is about a tragic marriage between two siblings who grew up not knowing each other said financial problems are however becoming an obstacle to his progress.
He said as a result of this, he is no longer sure when the drama will be out although he wants it out as soon as possible.
The author who is also a song writer and a poet said the last time he tried to dramatise it he ended up recording an album as the charges for a drama were too high and out of his ability to afford.
“Financial problems are becoming an obstacle for me and my progress. I am no longer sure when the drama will be out but if I had money I would have wanted it out as soon as possible. The last time I tried to dramatist it, I ended up recording an album because the charges for the drama were too high and out of my capability to pay,” Tsikira said.
The Kwekwe resident said he won two awards for writing including Kufa Kurinani and Mangange Mbira Dzakoko which he got the forth place for.
