An explosive encounter is on this Saturday as Ivan Hoe lock horns with Z.P.C Munyati in a Central Region Soccer League match at Bagdhad Stadium.
The two teams amassed 9 points each although Z.P.C Munyati boast of a game in hand.
Coming into this game, Ivan Hoe had stopped high ridding Sheasham FC who had won all of their first four games only to be held to a 2 all draw by Ivan last weekend in Gweru (Mkoba Stadium).
The result adds some confidence in the Ivan Hoe camp.
Contacted for comment on the weekend game, Ivan head couch Isaac Nyabvure was confident of a win.
“We are going to use home advantage. We held Sheasham last week in Gweru so I am looking forward to collecting maximum points. I have three key players who are injured who might miss the game depending on the condition of the injuries come match day. The injured players are Eriya Phiri, Tafadzwa Mashiri and Dennis,” said Nyabvure. This reporter could not get a comment from Z.P.C coach Rutherford Matondo as his mobile was on voice mail.
Z.P.C will play Black Eagles next week on Wednesday at Munyati Stadium.
Dendairy lies on position eight with 9 points, the same number of points to Z.P.C Munyati and Ivan Hoe.
Kwekwe Stars find life difficult in the league as they haven’t tested a win in their first six games.
They anchor the log table with just 2 points from two draws.
Meanwhile Sheasham massacred Black Eagles 4 nil on Wednesday to top the log with 16 points. After weekend games F.C Platinum u19 had temporarily topped the log for about 72 hours. Another explosive encounter is in Gweru as log leaders Sheasham FC visit the “ graduates ” M.S.U FC on Saturday. M.S.U had drawn nil all with Whawha on Wednesday. Sheasham is breathing fire as shown by their results but M.S.U are usually tough on home turf.
Kwekwe Stars host another winless side Black Eagles at Mbizo Stadium this Saturday. Ivan Hoe, Dendairy and Munyati are the only Kwekwe teams with a chance of bringing the premier football to Kwekwe this year.
Dendairy travels to Zvishavane on Sunday to play Shabanie Mine FC who also seem to struggle in the league as the “ BvaruBvaru ” boys managed a single win in six matches.
