Man dragged to court for theft

A Kwekwe man appeared before court facing allegations of unlawful entry and theft.

Fortunate Mpofu is said to have committed the above mentioned offences at complainant Stella Muranda, who resides in Sardina, Chicago.

The accused that is said to be unemployed is said to have broken into Muranda’s household stealing electrical gadgets and money.

The accused pleaded guilty to all charges.

 He is going to perform community service on the first count.

The court is still looking into the second count.

Mpofu says that he committed these offences with the intention of selling the goods so as to cater his financial needs hence sustaining his family with capital.

However, the complainant and witnesses Morris Masunga and Tiny Mudambe appeared in court so as to testify on the accused’s matter hence Magistrate Story Rushambwa postponed the case to the 14th of May 2019 so as to look into the second charge.
