BM Academy football club has started polishing up their boots as they prepare for their glamorous Midlands Division 2 League.
The club is preparing for the Division 2 league which is starting in Mid-April.
Last year, the team ended up on the 13th position in the Division since the league was tough for them.
In an interview with the Midlands Observer, Bernard Moyo who is the Director of the club said that the team usually specialise on the youngster and some of the players are still at school.
“Last year, the team didn’t perform well in the league since the team was comprised with young stars only but now the team has also included senior players in our team who will help the young stars to improve their football,” said Moyo.
“We started our training sessions some long time back and the guys are putting all their effort in everything we do during the training,” he said.
“The team has played many friendly match with Division 1 and 2 teams who are also preparing to clinch the top spots in their league,” he said.
BM Academy thrashed Kwekwe Polytenic back to back and the club is also preparing for their Technical Education Sports Association of Zimbabwe (TESAZ) games.
“The team has now improved compared to the previous team but the youngsters are improving their football day by day,” said Moyo.
“So far we have the strongest team on the ground and our hope as a team is to keep on maintaining our winning streak at home and away games as we did during our friendly matches,” he said.
BM Academy once played with the Division 2 winners Dendairy Fc and the game ended up at a 1-1 stalemate.
“As the Director of the team l will make sure that the youngsters will get all the football equipment’s during their training,” said Moyo.
