Before they have even kicked a Central Region Soccer League (CSRL) ball debutants Kwekwe based Dendairy FC have already set a Premier Soccer League (PSL) target.
The Vice Chairperson Munyaradzi Mafume of the Citro Boys as Dendairy have been christened by their legion of fans is targeting the top flight league.
“We are going to beef up every position with the advice of technical team and we are targeting premiership football come next season,” Mafume after being buoyed by the team’s fairytale performance in Division 2.
Meanwhile, team Manager Russel Tudhlope told Observer Sport that the team will be using Mbizo Stadium.
“We will stay at Mbizo Stadium next season because of the support, currently we are setting up to embark in Division 1 with the hope to succeed to premier soccer league. We are going to bolster the technical bench,” he said.
Coach Solomon Kaseke said the only limitation for the charges is the sky.
“We came, we saw, we conquered its possible we can get anywhere with these boys,” Kaseke said.
Meanwhile, veteran team skipper Charles Mutsinze has expressed confidence that the team is set to scale great heights.
Speaking after the team’s 4-0 victory in a friendly match against other CSL debutants Gweru based Real BVM FC over the weekend Mutsinze said the sky is the limit for the team.
“I would like to thank all the guys for a wonderful season ad also our coaches, we are ready for Division 1 we are a strong squad we only need one experienced striker to add firepower upfront and strengthen our strike force,” he said.
Mutsinze played for Black Aces, Darryn T, and Highway from Mutare.
He also played for Botswana Side Tokwane United and Motor Action before taking a sabbatical.
He reignited his career at GMB Kwekwe in 2015 before joining Dendairy this season.
