FBC bank focuses on promoting education

FBC bank has prioritized its investment in education saying education is the key to unlocking value in economy and development of the country.

Speaking after handover of laptops  to Thorn hill High School by the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education recently, FBC Manager Dennis Mundida said as  an institution FBC looks forward to improve education by continuously partnering the ministry in awarding schools which produce outstanding results across the country.

“FBC bank is proud to be part of this ceremony were we are honouring schools such as Thornhill High who managed to produce outstanding results in the Midlands Province in 2016 .So I would like to say Congratulations to the school .

“As FBC we will continue working with the ministry in this programme as this will not end here but will done also in other provinces because we will walk this journey for the next five years with the Ministry .So we chose to partner in this programme so that we invest in our education, to us as FBC education remains the key aspect of development,” said Mundida.

Telone Junior Accounts Manager, Archibold Danger expressed gratitude to the ministry of Primary and secondary Education saying the devices which have been given to the school will promote use of ICT technologies

“We are glad that the ministry has partnered us to facilitate the connectivity which is affordable in schools which we are going to do here at Thornhill High school. We are going to connect good internet facility here and we are also going to train your teachers so that they are well equipped on the use of these devices as well,” said Danger.

Thornhill high School was presented with 46 Lenovo laptops, a projector and an interactive board for its smart classroom project under the 2016 Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education Secretary Merit Awards after producing best result in the Midlands Province in the 2016 Zimbabwe School Examination Council (ZIMSEC) Ordinary and Advanced Level results.
