Fertilizer manufacturing firm Sable Chemicals has re-launched the health and wellness day.
The programme according to the company’s senior officials was suspended in 2015 due to financial constraints.
Human Resources Manager Zvishamiso Musvipa speaking at the re-launch of the program at Manunure High School in Mbizo recently underscored the importance of living a healthy life.
Musvipa said the company had suspended the program due to financial constraints.
“The health and wellness day was launched in 2014 with the company aiming to improve the health standards of its employees by encouraging them to live a healthy life.
“Now the company is back on its feet again and has decided to re-engage again with its stakeholders and the community at large in edifying on health and wellness issues,” Musvipa said.
The management has said despite economic challenges the country is facing, Sable Chemicals is coming up with strategies to improve on issues around health, wellness and the environment.
Sable Chemicals has recently partnered with Kwekwe General Hospital in the setting up of a private ward at the institute whose revenue is expected to feed back into the general wards.
